This oak bay home renovation transformed a modest 1930s house into a space that’s fresh, functional and full of warmth without losing its classical character.
Stripped to the studs, reconfigured for practical living, and layered with thoughtful finishes, this home blends vintage details with clean lines for a space that feels both grounded and refined.
While preserving the general layout of the original oak bay character home, spaces were opened up for improved flow and modern convenience. A central beam enabled the new open-plan design, with the solarium converted into a den that opens to the patio.
The home features a custom Italian-inspired gas fireplace, wide plank white oak floors, and beautiful Moroccan tiles in the entry and laundry. The kitchen was fully reconfigured, bathrooms completely revamped and the unconventional master layout optimized for space.
Throughout the home, warm wood tones, crisp lines and character details tell the story of a renovation that respects the past while creating space to thrive in the present, inclusive of a bright, welcoming guest suite.
